Advocacy Network Newcastle

The Newcastle Advocacy Centre supports Advocacy Network Newcastle which works to improve the quality and range of advocacy schemes in Newcastle. We produce a quarterly newsletter, Network News, and provide training on advocacy related issues. An advocacy information resource and lending library is also available. In order to join the Advocacy Network Newcastle individuals or organisations must sign up to our code of practice (PDF format, 181kb, in a separate window).

A manifesto for independent advocacy services in England and Wales

A new manifesto for independent advocacy services has been published, setting out a series of core beliefs relating to advocacy services and a number of expectations in respect to this sector’s relationship with the government.  Newcastle Advocacy Centre was part of a small group that organised a national sector-wide conference held in March 2010 which then developed this manifesto.  Click here to download a copy (PDF, 2 513kb).

For more information, or to join the Advocacy Network Newcastle, contact Jacqui Jobson on 0191 232 7445 or email Jacqui Jobson.
