Voluntary Youth Sector Forum
A forum for voluntary organisations and community groups working with children and young people aged 8-25 in Newcastle upon Tyne. Members include small groups and branches of national charities. What does the Forum do?Newcastle Voluntary Youth Sector Forum:
Most of the work takes place through four forum meetings a year. There are
also occasional seminars on youth worker practice for face-to-face workers in the
voluntary sector and local authority. For details of meetings and other events,
click here. Who runs the Forum?There is a steering group made up of two Co-Chairs, others elected by Forum members, and Forum reps who attend other bodies for the Forum. NCVS arranges some of the meetings and sends out the mailings. Newcastle City Council's Voluntary Sector Liaison Officer for Youth Services produces a newsletter, Starlight, and arranges the seminars. Who can join?
Free full membership is open to Newcastle voluntary organisations and
community groups, providing activities in Newcastle for children and young
people aged 8-25, or with an interest in youth services. There are also
