National

ACAS - the Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service offers impartial information, advice, and training on employment matters as well as a range of problem resolution services.

NCVO - best practice on all aspects of employment, personnel and human resources from the National Council of Voluntary Organisations.

Department for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform - this website has a section for employment related issues.

Greater Manchester Pay and Employment Rights Advice Service - an independent advice, research and campaigning organisation.  Although their telephone advice service is intended for the people of Greater Manchester their website provides a useful resource regarding employment matters.

Jobcentre Plus - provides advice on recruitment needs and advertises vacancies.  They also offer help and advice on training, rates of pay, equal opportunities and employing people with disabilities or from overseas.

NAVCA - model policies and procedures from the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action.
