Local

IDEA Tree - a social enterprise support project set up by disabled people to foster new disabled entrepreneurs as well as new social enterprises for the benefit of disabled people.

Regional

Entrust - assists small businesses in the North East with advice, consultancy and training with a view to improving growth, development and sustainability.

NESEP - the North East Social Enterprise Partnership supports and promotes social enterprise in the North East.

National

Business Link - provides support, information and advice for businesses.

Department for Business, Innovation and Skills - has lead responsibility within the government for small business and enterprise policy.  It aims to strengthen the enterprise environment for small businesses and to enable more people and communities to pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.

Social Firms UK - aims to create employment opportunities for disadvantaged people through the development and support of social firms.
