National

ACEVO - the professional organisation for chief executives in the voluntary sector.

Association of Charity Officers - the national umbrella body for benevolent charities (charities who provide aid and advice to individuals in need).

bassac - a network of multi-purpose community based organisations, dedicated to tackling the causes and effects of poverty, exclusion and discrimination.

Capacitybuilders - manages the ChangeUp funding programme, which is designed to improve the skills and capacity of the third sector by offering support to infrastructure bodies. 

Charities Evaluation Services - provides information and advice on quality and evaluation systems for the voluntary sector.

Children England (formerly known as the National Council of Voluntary Child Care Organisations) - aims to create a fairer world for children, young people and families by championing the voluntary organisations which work on their behalf.

Community Development Foundation - leads community development analysis and strategy in order to empower people to influence decisions that affect their lives.

Community Matters - supports community associations and represents their interests at a national level.

Development Trusts Association - supports development trusts (community owned and led organisations).

Directory of Social Change - provides information and training to voluntary and community sectors worldwide.

NCVO (National Council of Voluntary Organisations) - provides information, advice and support to the voluntary sector.

Society Guardian Voluntary Sector - voluntary sector news from the online daily newspaper.

Third Sector magazine - the online version of Third Sector, the weekly magazine for charities, voluntary organisations and social enterprises.

VolResource - provides information on anything to do with running a voluntary organisation (whether a community group, charity or other non-profit body).

Volunteering England - works to support and increase the quality, quantity, impact and accessibility of volunteering.
