Networking and involving

There are many ways for voluntary and community organisations in Newcastle to be heard and to start to make change happen.  Voluntary and community organisations can feel that they are a lone voice, that nobody is listening or no-one understands the issues they are trying to address.  It doesn't have to be like that.

Newcastle CVS helps voluntary and community organisations in Newcastle to work together, to network and to have a voice.

Here are the ways we can help you make a difference

Join a network or forum

We know that voluntary and community organisations need to work together to share information, experience and good practice and to meet to discuss issues affecting them, their members and clients.  Newcastle CVS facilitates five principle networks and forums that meet regularly to discuss shared interests and concerns and engage with local partnerships at a strategic level

What is your theme?

Many voluntary and community groups work on themes that are important to local people and local communities.

These themes are also reflected in the Newcastle Partnership, a strategic partnership made up of the public, private, voluntary and community sectors, has six Delivery Partnerships each responsible for improving an aspect of living and working in Newcastle.  The voluntary and community sector has an important contrbution to make to each of these Delivery Partnerships.  Follow your theme to keep up to date with what is happening under these Delivery Partnership themes and find out how to get involved so that the voluntary and community sector's experience and expertise continues to influence and shape the life of the city.
