Employability

Employability is about overcoming barriers to work amongst disadvantaged communities.  This agenda will dominate regeneration spending over the next few years.  The Regen Forum has created a reference group to ensure voluntary and community sector involvement in this work and in 2007 produced a research report "The Journey into Participation and Work" which analyses the voluntary sector contribution to this agenda.

The report looks at the barriers faced by social groups most likely to be workless and how voluntary sector action can enable people to move back into work.

For more information about the reference group email Roger Mould or phone him on 0191 232 7445.
