Chi Onwurah is MP for Newcastle Central and is Labour's shadow minister with responsibility for social enterprise. Chi asked Newcastle CVS to faciltate a discussion session with social enterprise practitioners in the city to find out more about the issues, challenges and opportunties facing social enterprises.

Getting to grips with social finance – June 2012

Newcastle CVS hosted a workshop by Urban Forum on social finance, looking in particular at using loans as a means to finance third sector services. The workshop included presentations from Mark Heskett Saddington, SES, and Susan Oliphant, Entrust. The key points from the workshop were written by Neil Shashoua, Trapeze Consulting.
