Could you be an outstanding Newcastle LINk Officer?

NCVS and Community Action on Health (CAOH) have formed a partnership to host a Local Involvement Network (LINk) in Newcastle.  The LINk will be a network of community groups, voluntary organisations and individuals with an interest in health and adult care issues.  It will work with the local authority and NHS Trusts to ensure the views of local people are taken into account in the planning and delivery of health and care services.

We are looking for three people to become the LINk Support Team in Newcastle, with two posts based at NCVS and one at CAOH.  All three post holders will be expected to work together as one LINk Support Team, building on existing activities within both organisations.  All post are full time.

All applicants must have excellent interpersonal skills, good written and ICT skills and the ability to work as part of a team.  Experience of the voluntary sector and health policy are both desirable.

LINk Policy Officer (NCVS)

This post will be responsible for developing and servicing the LINk, liaising with the relevant agencies and leading on policy.

LINk Information Support Officer (NCVS)

This post will be responsible for the administration, IT and communications function, and for the work with volunteers.

NJC Scale 6 currently £21,412 to £22,845

LINk Outreach Officer (CAOH)

This post will work as part of the Community Involvement Team to develop networks of community groups and organisations around health issues, facilitate information sharing and organise opportunities for community groups to work together.
